"Raise the sea, go to the deep bluφ✘ δe" - save the ocean, not stop at today

2017-06-08

The ocean is an important part of the earth. T"→αhe ocean provides human beings <★↔with food, fresh air, and a steady stream of™β water resources... But human beinφε£gs are not friendly to the oc ¥γean, wantonly destroying the marine e₹αnvironment and depleting marine resou♣α★rces... The ocean cue ball was serio±×usly injured.

June 8 is the 9th "World Oceans D✔→ay" and the 10th "National Oce¶λεan Awareness Day". A>÷s beneficiaries of the ocean, w∞→§hat can we do for ocean prote↑&ction?

Resist the use of single-use plaβ® stics

Every day, thousands of people on eart"☆h buy single-use plastic±® products, such as plastic bags, plast®±‍→ic cups, plastic straws...and throw×≈ them away after they are use♦≠‌d up. Since the global r♦¥™σecycling rate of plastic p≤♠•§roducts is only 25%, man™€y plastic wastes will eventuall±♦y flow into the ocean and become m←£arine debris, destroying the ma¶♠rine environment and threa✘→§εtening the survival and development of marine l§↓ife.

Think twice before buying siβ∏≠ngle-use plastic produ₹&€cts, why not use canvas b ∞≈πags instead of plastic bags? Replacing bottled →♣mineral water with a water glass? Reject dispos‍γβ>able straws? Take the courage to say £€goodbye to single-use pβσlastics!

Do not throw away cigarette butts on →®★the street

Cigarettes are harmful t"✔↕o human health, but a♣&γlso to the ocean. According to rele₩→™♦vant statistics, about 4.5×1012 cigarette but≤÷&ts are scattered around the world every ♦ year. Like those plastic produc★>‌ts, cigarette butts enter>'≤ the ocean in various ways and accumulatφ£≤£e on the coast. Burnt cigarette ₹↓butts contain thousa≥÷εnds of harmful chemicals that can kill marγ×σ≠ine life. If you are a smoker, ↔‍be sure to throw your cigarette butts i★α∞¶n the trash, not the roadside.

Reduce carbon emissions

The ocean absorbs more $&'than 25% of the carb∏€on dioxide emitted by humans, resulting in ac ♣✔idification of the sea, affecting≥≤ coral reefs and a large number of mar<‍ine life. Restraining ocean acidificat©Ωion goes hand in hand with tackling cli↑σ≠mate change: we need to reduce ₽&global carbon dioxide emissions. ←β¥ Personally, some small sγ≠$uggestions such as: choose to use green ene↑•rgy in life; choose ""©more public transportatioφ♦¶÷n or bicycles when tra&Ωσφveling; do not smoke; participateπλ☆ in tree planting activities, etc.

One person is weak, and red✔βucing carbon dioxide emissions requires the joε'¥✘int efforts of all. …

Be a rational consumer

Used toothpaste, body wash, and some clothing m"€ay contain microplastics, which flow into th★←∑✘e ocean in the form of w≥✔↔astewater. Because these particlesΩσ are very small, they are diffi↔πcult to remove and mu÷φst be treated at the sou'®rce. Before you buy perso ☆nal items, check the labels to see®→"✔ if they contain plastic ingr£Ωedients. Learn about plastic rec♦>ycling signs such as "P≈"'↕P", "PE", &q<®£uot;PET", "PMMA", and choose to₹≈ε♥ reuse or reduce the use ♣¶of these plastic products.

Organizing or participatinδ≈g in beach cleaning activities

When you're at the beach, •πyou're more likely to see plastic, cigare☆€tte butts, and nut shells littered on •≤the beach, which flow into the ocean wiδ♦ ¶th the waves. Why don&σ←✔ #39;t you go to the beach with your buddies to✔← pick up trash? Or sign up for a be‌∑ach cleanup in your city? Make sure the trash y'φ$®ou pick up is dispose׶§φd of in a sustainabl‌•♠ e way and doesn't end up in the ocean again.

Be a responsible shit shoveler

If you keep pets, you may≥φ$∏ also be destroying marine ecos €σ¥ystems. Such as cat litter, the chemicals in→γ★ cat litter can cause great harm to marine life§™₽÷, so do not pour cat litter down the toi> 'let or sink, or they will end up in the oc↔‌‍αean with the waste water₹  cycle.

Also, if you have an aquarium, avoid buyin ÷™€g wild-caught tropical fish. Also, don'±•t put a domesticated tropical fish i<≥nto the sea at will, although it may appear t♦₩Ωo be released, these fish may c₹$ause unpredictable da↔≤'mage to local marine li∏¥↓fe.

"Raising the sea, going to the deep blue&qu✘♣¥ot;

Protecting the ocean is not limited to ε✘coastal people.

Protecting the ocean does not stδ± op at today.

On June 8th, act, you and I can save th✔£e ocean!
